Fredrik Malmberg

A passion for unusual repertoire, combined with knowledge and feel for the diverse eras and styles, have become a hallmark of the Swedish conductor Fredrik Malmberg.

His activities include both run as orchestral repertoire, and he has collaborated with ensembles such as DR Vokalensemblet, Swedish Radio Choir, Concerto Copenhagen, the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and Mariinskyteaterns.

Fredrik Malmberg is also sought after pianist and organist, including with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of conductors such as Daniel Harding and Claudio Abbado.

Since 2012, Fredrik Malmberg holds two of the most prestigious assignments in the Swedish music: Music Director of the Eric Ericson Chamber Choir and professor of choral conducting at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm.

Fredrik Malmberg has received numerous prizes and awards for his musical work, and in 2012 listed the leading Swedish music magazine Opus him among those who made the most of renewing the tradition-filled art music in Sweden.
